Overall great product - wish the bottle were dishwasher safe
I own two of these insulated water bottles from Camelbak. Overall, I am happy with their performance, durability, insulation, and function. The opening can be rotated 90 degrees to close/seal but even when open the bottle doesn't leak. I keep them open during my bike rides and can easily grab a drink while in the saddle. They can be left in the freezer to get the insulation material colder before rides and will keep your drink colder longer during hot days. My only negative is Camelbak recommends handwashing the bottles, which I'd prefer a dishwasher safe bottle. The cap can be washed in the top rack of your dishwasher.

I've been using the plastic version of this water bottle for years. It's great but water doesn't stay cool. This bottle is very well designed and works well. The hardest thing for me to get used to is not being able to squeeze it. You have to lean your head back for the straw to work. But it does work well. I included a picture of how much water is left behind with the straw, it's not much, about a sip. Certainly not enough to not consider using this bottle. I bought the 22oz bottle and for my rides of 10-20 miles it's perfect and the water stays cold for the whole ride. For rides longer than 20 miles i use a 2 bottle system and fill this bottle with ice and water and then use the plastic bottle as my main. Having this as a backup and full of ice cold water after the main is gone is reinvigorating and refreshing on those long rides. Like all stainless bottles this bottle won't taste funky(like a plastic bottle) if you don't use all the water but i still empty mine after each use. If you have been using plastic bottles and enjoy cold water on your rides this bottle is an easy switch and should last a long time.

BUY THEM!!! Seriously, if you ride more than an hour in the summer heat, you know what drinking tepid bath water is like. Not good. A year ago if you said I would spend $40 for a water bottle, I would have laughed. Who's laughing now? I am, if you complain about your water being hot after an hour in a free plastic water bottle from your local bike shop. Scientific research: I put ice and water in them and sat them in the sun on my grill on a 90° day. 5 HOURS LATER....... STILL ICE. Me and my riding buddy carried these all summer and they are absolute game changers. Nothing better than ice cold water 4 hours into a long ride through Logan County. Semi-Pro tip: don't put too much ice because it doesn't melt and takes up water volume. I found about 4-5 of the little ice maker cubes are more than enough. Details: They come in a large (22 oz) and small (18 oz) if the large will fit your bike frame, get the large They will fit in any standard water bottle cage. They will scratch up. If that sort of thing bothers you, then you should drink tepid bath water for the rest of your life. They are heavier than a plastic bottle.
